Terms and Conditions.
CONDITIONS OF HIRE:
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Owner and the Hirer, these terms and conditions will be the only terms and conditions on which the Owner will provide goods and or services to the Hirer.
These Terms are deemed to be accepted by the Hirer on payment of a booking deposit, on receipt by the Owner.
The hiring of the equipment will commence from the commencement date specified on the hirer invoice and continue for the term specified.
The hirer shall not remove the hire equipment from the position of its installation without consent from the owner.
The hirer acknowledges responsibility for the equipment and is liable for any damage. A $200 bond is required. It is only refundable if hiring products are picked up in original condition. If the bond does not cover the repair or replacement of the damages an invoice will be issued.
Empire Events By Maggie K will not be liable for any injury, loss and/or damage suffered by the Hirer or any other person, as a consequence of the Hirer's use of the Equipment.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS:
A 50% deposit is required within 2 days of receiving your invoice. Failure to do so will result in all requested hire equipment being made available again for public hire.
Full payment is required no later than 7 days prior to the date of the hirer's event.
DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE
If a booking is placed less than 7 days from the event date, then full payment is required within 24 hours from invoice issue date.
Payment must be made via bank transfer.
HIRE CHARGES & DELIVERY:
A minimum spend of $250 is required for all bookings. This does not include delivery, set up and collection fees.
Our hire periods are 24 hours, unless the event finishes before 10pm. Any event finishing after 10pm that cannot be picked up the following day will incur a $100 late pick up fee.
Any booking that falls on a public holiday will incur a 10% surcharge.
CANCELLATIONS:
In the case of cancellation by the hirer, deposits are non-refundable. We will issue you with a credit note. You have 1 year to use the credit note.
All cancellations and date changes are to be requested in writing. Approval for date changes will be subject to availability.
If for some reason the owner has to cancel a booking, in this circumstance all deposits will be refunded.
For bookings cancelled within 7 days of the hirers date of event, the balance of the invoice is due in full.
Should the hirer wish to change or edit an order this must be made at least 30 days prior to the hire date and is only subject to availability. Change of mind is non-refundable. No changes will be accepted after 30 days.
DAMAGE OF EQUIPMENT:
The Hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment for any reason whatsoever, except loss or damage which is caused by reasonable wear and tare.
If damage or loss occurs while in the Hirer care, full replacement costs will be charged. If damage or loss is inflicted the Owner reserves the right to invoice and collect from the Hirer the remaining balance required to replace damaged or lost items. An invoice will be sent and Bond will be withheld until replacement is paid in full.
CONSENT:
Empire Events by Maggie K reserves the right to post public pictures of setups and events across all social media. Hirer photos and videos you give us, gives us permission to use these photos for all marketing and advertising purposes. Should you wish not to be part of any photos, it is your responsibility to contact Empire Events by Maggie K in writing requesting not to be photographed or part of any pictures.
